Now less you say I can download it from the Microsoft Store, even though I am currently logged into every Microsoft web site cited in the list of valid Microsoft accounts(, Skype, Office, Bing, MSN) with my valid Am I the only one who smells a class action suit? Are there any lawyers out their interested in taking up the case? Take it away from me or purposefully code Windows 10 to prevent it from running. I copied in Freecell from my backup file of Windows 7 (Ultimate) files and found it WOULD NOT RUN under Windows 10! As I have purchased 8 different versions of windows since Freecell appeared, I feel I own it outright, and it is not Microsoft's place to Note I'm just another user trying to help. You are not connected to the Internet so it isn't like that is a problem. After all this a game, most of it is graphics anyways, not like the controls matter that much, and you can play them when Personally I think that now that the "universal" applications can run in a window it matters little they come from the store or not. For the record the desktop games where dropped in Windows 8. Game so they really probably just more grief for doing that than thank yous, so that might be part of it too, not to mention the duplication of effort since they have the store/universal version. Of course everyone has their own preference on a Solitaire In the beta testing they did put out test version of Microsoft Solitaire like that (just Solitaire not Freecell), but they didn't release that to the public. Of course many other companies putting out solitaire games and of course they can charge for them if they like, but there are several that are free with ads.
From the settings in my version of I can select to upgrade to Premium so that is how I know about the offer. There are people that will do it, and there is that revenue that Microsoft is hoping for from "services".
That is to say install and play for free with ads, or $9.99 for a yearly subscription, and a month subscription is $1.49. From what I see on the Store it says that the in app "purchases" range from free to $9.99. That is the same thing, but with no ads,Īnd a couple of things like that. If it isn't installed for you and you are getting it from the store make sure you are not opting in to get the "Premium" version.
It was already installed at Start -> All apps -> Microsoft Solitaire Collection. Now the confusion on the price might be that I already had it downloaded/connect to my Windows 8.1 account and so it might have installed it for me automatically whereas it wouldn't do that for you. The Microsoft Solitaire Collection is free (with some minor ads).
